한국전통음악 (K-Traditional Music)
한국전통음악수업은 서민들사이에서 불려지고 계승해온 민요라는 대중의 음악을 배우고 또 소고와 장구와 같은 전통악기의 체험을 통해서 한국인의 정서를 느끼고 이해해보는 시간입니다.
학생들은 아리랑, 도라지타령, 군밤타령과 어린이들의 생활과 관련된 다양한 한국전래동요도 배우게되며, 세마치장단과 자진모리 장단같은 기본장단를 배우고 또 이를 활용하여 전통악기인 소고와 장구를 연주하는 체험학습을 갖습니다. 더 나아가 관악기의 하나인 단소를 배워봄으로서 한국의 전통 음계와 좀 더 심화된 한국전통음악을 배웁니다. 학기를 마무리하면서, 학생들은 민요와 소고와 장구가 어우러진 앙상블의 발표를 하게 됩니다.
Korean Traditional music class is designed to provide an opportunity to learn the folk music called, “Minyo(민요)”, which had been sung and succeeded by the lower rank people, and to explore the Korean traditional percussions called, “Sogo(소고, small drum)” and “Jangu(장구, big drum) .”
The students will learn the songs as “Arirang(아리랑)”, “Doraji Tareong(도라지타령 meaning Bellflower chant)”, and “Gunbam Tareong(군밤타령, meaning Chesnut chant) and some of the children folk songs related to the childlren’s life. The students will also learn the rhythms of the Minyo called, “Semachi Jangdan(세마치 장단)” and “Jajinmori Jangdan(자진모리 장단)”and get to play the percussions in the rhythms. For further study, the students will learn one of the Korean wind instruments called, “Danso(단소 pipe recorder)”. The class will perform the concert at the end of the semester, which will be a Ensemble of Minyo, Sogo and Janggu and Danso.
