분홍반
분홍반의 아침은 즐거운 노래로 시작합니다. 손유희와 함께 한국동요를 부르는 우리 친구들의 표정은 늘 행복하지요.
처음에는 잘 몰랐던 노래와 손유희도 어느덧 몇주가 지나면 익숙하게 부르는 모습을 보게 됩니다. 3세 4세의 분홍반은 한국어에 자연스럽게 노출되는 것을 목표로 하며 매주 다양한 주제별 활동(동물,가족,계절,학교 등)은 주제와 관련된 한국어 동화책과 연계하여 학생들을 미래의 꿈을향해 날아 오르게합니다.
또한 주제와 관련된 한글 단어 소개, 모음자음 모양구분하기, 소리내기 등을 통한 학습으로 한국어 기초를 다지게 합니다. 처음엔 귀염둥이 친구들이 큰소리로 선생님을 따라 말하는것을 낯설어 하지만 얼마 지나지 않아 단어카드를 하나하나 넘길때마다 들려주는 청아한 친구들의 목소리를 듣다보면 이 걱정은 자랑스러움으로 가득차게 됩니다. 그리고 어느새 귀엽고 작은손으로 ㄱ, ㄴ,ㄷ,..을 쓰며 소리를 따라합니다. 또한 한국어 수업뿐만 아니라 한국동요와 율동시간을 통하여 한국동요를 접하면서 한국문화도 이해하게 되고 그 주제와 관련된 미술활동을 통하여 학생들의 창의력과 흥미를 이끌어내고 있습니다. 한국 전통놀이 수업시간에 윶놀이, 제기만들기, 제기차기 등의 활동은 자라나는 학생들의 신체발육을 돕고 자기조절능력을 발달시킵니다.
The morning of Pink Class (Early Beginner I) begins with singing. Our students are joyfully singing Korean children’s songs with finger play.
After a few weeks of practice, they have become familiar with the songs and finger play. The goal of Pink Class, comprised of 3 to 4-year-olds, is to expose students to Korean through singing and play. Each week, a variety of activities with different topics (animals, family, weather, school, etc) inspire children to think imaginatively. In addition, learning vowel/consonant differentiation and pronunciation builds the basic foundation of the Korean language. At first, our young students feel uneasy repeating the teacher, but soon they become accustomed to it. We are proud to hear students speaking the language properly. The students quickly pick up how to pronounce Korean consonants including ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ… using their hands and pronouncing the sounds. We teach our students Korean song and dance, and we incorporate art as well, encouraging our students to be creative. In Korean traditional game class, students learn to play the game of Yut, and learn to make/play Jegi (Korean Shuttlecock) which challenges students physically as well.
